My name is Suyapa Reyes. In 2018, after following every step demanded by ICE and immigration court  for my immigration case, I received the news that I should leave the country and leave my children behind. Given the risk of separation from my family and the imminent risk that my life runs if I return to Honduras, I made the hard decision to engage in civil disobedience by living  in Sanctuary inside a church with my four children ages between 13 and one year old. I have been living in Sanctuary for more than a year without  winning my legal case yet. While we explore several organizing and legal strategies, my family and I need to survive.Click here to change this text
